The Story

Harley leans out Oliver's window as wheat waves in the wind, his fur ruffling like the prairie grass. Dad hums along to a tune on the radio and points toward a sign that says “T. rex Discovery Centre.” Harley blinks. “T. rex?” — then grins. “Snack-sized?”

In Eastend, Harley meets Scotty the Dinosaur, the biggest Tyrannosaurus ever found. Dad explains how fossils are like time's footprints, and Harley imagines ancient pups chasing giant bones across a long-lost land. By sunset, prairie skies glow orange and gold, and Harley whispers, “Best nap spot ever.”

Plushie of the Chapter

Scotty the Dinosaur plushie
Scotty the Dinosaur

Tiny but mighty, Scotty is a plushie with prehistoric pride. He might fit in Harley's paw, but his heart is as big as the prairie sky. With his green scales and confident grin, he reminds everyone that even the biggest discoveries start small.

Harley found him at the T. rex Discovery Centre and knew they were kindred spirits. Now Scotty guards Oliver's dashboard, watching every sunrise with dino-sized enthusiasm.

Harley's note: "He says he is a carnivore, but his favorite snack is marshmallows."
